Graybar and Susan Gerard
My perspective at this stage of my career allows me to relate to upper management, as well as lead younger talent. My experience on the client side with Birch Telecom was an opportunity to prove my capability in developing strong relations with sales, earn their respect and partner with them to drive qualified leads and develop the tools they really needed to close deals.
“Graybar has the power and stability of a big company coupled with the integrity and drive of a neighborhood business.” Similarly, I have big-company education and experience, but work with a small-business authenticity and entrepreneurial spirit. Some of my key attributes include:
- Self-starter and resourceful
- Ability to persevere
- Produces high-quality work
- Problem solves from a solid basis of research
- Clearly communicate and monitor progress
- Conscientious and reliable
- Assertive and comfortable leading others
I attain my Executive MBA from Washington University in December, 2018. The program has enhanced my business acumen, a skill set I am looking to exercise more fully in a company, like Graybar, with upward mobility options. This time in Graybar’s history is particularly exciting, celebrating a rich history of nearly 150 years and considering a fresh perspective on how they do business.
